Doug Legursky signs his RFA Tender

The Steelers have become a very busy team over the last few days.  They have signed Leonard Pope, Jerricho Cotchery and Trai Essex.  They also have re-signed Ramon Foster.  Now they have his running mate at guard Doug Legursky under contract for the year as well.  Legursky tweeted that he will be back in Pittsburgh again […]

Steelers Round Up: Winnie the Pooh, Mega Millions & Rehab

I thought for sure in the offseason I would have a hard time coming up with things to put in here.  Not the case at all. With the draft only weeks away things are going to get crazy! Let’s get down to it:

Doug Legursky posted a great update about his rehab this week on […]

Steelers leave Offensive Line very vulnerable with RFA Tenders

The Steelers have not released the terms of the RFA Tenders yet but indications point to the Steelers giving everyone but Wallace the lowest tender.  That means they would get a pick from the original draft round that the player was chosen in.  The Steelers were cap strapped and did not have much money to […]

Maurkice Pouncey Out For Steelers Wild Card Game in Denver

The Steelers will be without Pro Bowl Center Maurkice Pouncey this weekend in Denver.  Pouncey will miss the game after reaggravating his ankle injury.  Pouncey practiced on Wednesday and has not felt right since.  Pouncey will be replaced in the starting line up by Doug Legursky who is also nursing a shoulder injury.

This injury […]

Chris Kemoeatu to Start Against Browns

In a surprising move the Steelers are going to start Chris Kemoeatu against the Cleveland Browns.  Starter Doug Legursky is out for the Steelers and was expected to be replaced by Trai Essex.  Essex played one of the best games of his life last week.  To put Kemo in over him is insulting.

Inactives for Steelers Against Browns

Here are the inactives for the game against the Browns.

Doug Legursky a Week Away from Playing

Steelers Guard/Center Doug Legursky is expected to miss this weeks game against the Browns.  Legursky can go if needed but will not be asked to play if not absolutely necessary.  Legursky is suffering from a shoulder injury and the week of rest will help him towards the playoffs.

Other injuries report on were Mwelde Moore […]

Maurkice Pouncey Out Monday Night vs. 49ers

The Steelers got some bad news today as Maurkice Pouncey was listed as out for Monday Nights game.  His high ankle sprain will keep him on the sidelines for at least this week.  He will be replaced by Doug Legursky at center.  The Steelers will likely put Trai Essex at guard after last weeks debacle […]

Steelers Round Up: Yukon Cornelius, Toys and Hairway to Seven

Wednesday snuck up on me and I wasn’t ready for the Round up this week!  I’m thrown off with the Thursday and then Monday games.  Anyway another big game this week.  Particularly if the Ravens lose Sunday night to the Chargers which I believe is a distinct possibility.  So, here’s what they are doing with […]

Steelers Round Up: Camouflage beards, Sue Sylvester and Fedoras

Well, after a great win on Sunday, against a strong team, I’m feeling pretty good about our Steelers.  But this is a short week with another AFC North team coming to Pittsburgh.  But a good win always brings out some fun stuff from the team on social media. Lots of pictures in today’s round up […]

10 Observations for Bengals vs. Steelers

The Steelers put it to the Bengals today for the 35-7 win.  They made a statement today.  It gives the Steelers a 9-3 record with 4 games left.  They get Cleveland twice along with the Rams and 49ers.  They should win at least 3 of those 4 games if not all 4.  After today’s great […]

Steelers Should Move Maurkice Pouncey to Left Guard

The Steelers have a Pro Bowl Center in Maurkice Pouncey.  He is the best lineman on the team and one of the best lineman in the league.  He will be the Steelers center for years to come.  He will hold down the position and anchor the line for the next 10 years.

All that […]

Steelers Doug Legursky to Start at Left Guard

The Steelers have promoted offensive lineman Doug Legursky to starter at Left Guard.  He will replace 4 year starter Chris Kemoeatu.  Thank God.  I have been clamoring for this all season.  Kemo is a brainless, penalty machine and was the last person left on the line to be replaced.  There is a completely new starting […]

James Farrior Downgraded to Out vs Patriots

James Farrior has now been ruled out for the Steelers.  He is still suffering from a calf injury.  So which young guy starts today.  Will Timmons move back inside and Rookie Chris Carter get the start on the outside or will Stephenson Sylvester get his first start at inside linebacker.  Or, Maybe the Steelers will […]
