Casey Hampton tried to avoid going under the knife so that he could play next season.  That is not going to plan.  Hampton will be headed under the knife on Friday to repair his torn ACL.  The Surgery will be Hampton’s 3rd time having ACL Surgery.  The second time on this knee.

Chris Hoke and Jonathan Dwyer placed on Injured Reserve

The Steelers placed Chris Hoke and Jonathan Dwyer on Injured Reserve today.  They brought Mortty Ivy and Damon Cromartie Smith on the team to replace them.  Hoke’s injury was to his neck and Dwyer’s was to his foot.  Ivy is a linebacker and Smith is a safety.  The Smith part of the move is unexpected.
