Brock Osweiler is a good pick for the Steelers at 24. Useful to get him into the back-up role right away. There are many reasons:

1. Ben has been sacked too many times to last, so we need an insurance plan, and Brock will be ready in three years, but should be put in during the last period for some games to get him ready and give Ben a bread.

2. With a run-offense, Brock will be excellent with limited demands--with his height this means his completion rate will be higher and make the run even more effective.

3. The OL will not get better too fast, having a tall passer throwing to tall tight ends will lead to better offense, especially 3rd down conversions.

4. The Steelers have a great receiving corps, an it makes sense to have a QB who can throw any where on the field.

Over the long run the Steelers need continuity in the QB position to stay in the hunt, and we will never get a high draft choices, so might has well get the best future QB now.

Art Rooney II we need Mike Wallace for the long run. Love Hines a lot but Hines has just one more year. Am say lets keep Wallace. Its Wallace time now with the Steelers.

The way the "D" played w/out Harrison this year, I could see them cutting him loose. That would be a ton of cash saved, and rid them of a headache the Rooneys don't like.

NC I would honestly prefer brown at this point. He is more complete and will be more complete his whole career. With the salary cap jumping though we should be able to afford both of them until they turn 30 if they sign 5 year deals. Then we can choose. By 30 Wallace may lose his speed and we can get younger. Who would you want?

If we blow our cash on Wallace, it becomes much more likely Brown walks next year. We can't afford two top 15 WRs for long. So which do you think will be better down the road?
