Dermontti “Dirt” Dawson was selected by the Steelers in the second round of the 1988 NFL Draft with the 44th pick.  Dawson went on to be the Steelers Center throughout the 90’s.  He was named to 7 Pro Bowls and was named an All Pro 6 times.  Dawson was named to the 1990’s All Decade Team.
