Hines Ward Reconfirms He Plans to Play for Steelers in 2012

Hines Ward plans to play in 2012.  He let us know that right after the Super Bowl.  He has let us know again while at the Super Bowl promoting “NFL Characters Unite” a documentary made by the USA Network.  Ward called any report of him retiring as just “rumors’ and the he fully plans to be a Steeler in 2012.

Ward is due $4 million this season.  He has already made known he will take a pay cut to stay in town.  As his role has decreased he will have to take that pay cut if he plans to stay.  The Steelers are not going to have a number 4 or 5 receiver make more then their other 3 receivers combined (depending on the size of Wallace’s restricted free agent tender).
