Day 3 in the books. I just cant believe the difference in talent from the North Team to the South Team. It could be bad on Saturday. Here is some stuff I saw today.
5 Observations
- Billy Wynn is a guy I almost forgot about. He was big on my list early in the year and I stopped following Boise State during the season. He was the only one on the team I cared about so I moved on. He looked good today. If the Steelers move Ziggy Hood to the Nose Tackle position Wynn could be a possibility at the end of the second round. We will need a solid back up who can fill in for Keisel in the next few years.
- Cordy Glenn stonewalled everyone today. If we could get him and Ben Grubbs in Free Agency we could solidify our line in a heartbeat. I know it won’t happen but it is exciting to think about.
- Matt McCants out of UAB has good form and he could do well. The only thing he really needs is to get strong. He gets run over on every play by stronger guys. If he gets a good strength coach on a Pro Team he could become somebody. He has the skill just not the muscle. Third or Fourth round steal.
- Janoris Jenkins looks really good. If he can keep away from the weed and interviews well he could be a good pick. In our zone scheme he could play off which he looks really good in. His closing speed and ability to sit down on the route is fun to watch.
- Jeff Fuller looks like he should have come out as a junior. He cant get off press coverage. He cant out run anyone. The only advantage is his size but he does not use it well. He would have been better to enter the draft last year. He had a much better look last season.
