Bruce Arians spoke with his hometown Paper the York Daily Record about what went down between him and the Steelers. Arians made it known that he did not retire that he was not offered a contract. Arians wanted to come back for his 6th season as the teams offensive coordinator but was not given the opportunity. What continues to make it look worse for Rooney Arians was not given a reason why they were letting him go.
Arians also made known that he has “5 or 6″ offers from other teams for coaching positions. No specifics were given. Arians is open to coaching in either college or the pros. For someone who was run out of town and the picture was painted as a retirement it doesn’t sound like Arians wants to be done with coaching.
Arians left the door open for Roethlisberger and Tomlin to get a hold of him. He had good things to say about both. The only people he did not speak highly about were upper management for not giving him a real answer.
