Brett Keisel put forward as Steelers’ Payton Man of the Year

Steelers DE Brett Keisel was put forward as the representative for the Pittsburgh Steelers for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award that the NFL gives out every year.  This award recognizes a player that shows exemplary off the field community service with his football ability.

According to the Post-Gazette said he is honorary chairman of this year’s Cystic Fibrosis 65 Roses Sports Auction. Last year, he shaved off that beautiful beard of his after the Super Bowl as part of a fundraiser for UPMC Cancer Research Center, and it raised $40,000.  Even owner Art Rooney II joined in on that fun.

All of the 32 teams in the NFL put forward a player and the winner is announced during Super Bowl week.
