Pittsburgh to hold rally and dance contest for Hines Ward

The city of Pittsburgh is holding a rally to celebrate Hines Ward’s victory on Dancing with the Stars on Thursday at noon.   The rally will be in front of the City-County Building and people attending are encouraged to wear black and gold and bring their terrible towels.   Part of the rally will also be a dance contest that will be judged by Ward, his partner Kym Johnson and Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl.   People wishing to compete in the dance contest must email in a video to the city by Wednesday at noon and the top 3 chosen will compete on Thursday to win signed jerseys and pictures with Ward and Johnson.

And in true Hines Ward fashion there will also be a food drive collecting non-perishable items and everyone that provides food will be entered into a contest to win a terrible towel signed Ward and Johnson.  I think this is a great celebration of one of the cities favorite athletes who always represents the City of Pittsburgh.  Congrats Hines and Kym!
