After the devastating loss to Butler in the NCAA tournament, Ashton Gibbs the Pitt Panther’s junior guard will be declaring for the draft. He will however not hire an agent until he tests the waters a bit so if it doesn’t seem to be in his favor then he can come back to school. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette he has until April 24th to file his papers with the NBA.
So, it’s not a sure thing that he will definitely leave school early, but with his lights out shooting it’s a definite possibility. Gibbs averaged 16.8 points per game this season and shot 88.9% from the free throw line.
