Steelers are #1 in the Power Rankings

Your 3-0 Pittsburgh Steelers are #1 on multiple Power Ranking sites after their victory over Tampa Bay.

The Steelers have played better than anyone could have imagined after losing Roethlisberger for the first four games of the season.  They would have been considered a success if they had gone 2-2 with the schedule they […]

Batch Leads Steelers to 3-0: Bring on Baltimore

The Steelers offense was shot out of a cannon today versus the Bucs.  After two weeks of struggling to watch our offense without getting sick, Charlie Batch dusted off the cobwebs and threw three touchdown passes.  It could have been 4 if  not for a slip by David Johnson  in the end zone.  Two of […]

Roger Goodell Doesn’t Follow His Own Rulebook

As per usual, Roger Goodell didn’t follow his own rules this week.  Steelers linebacker James Harrison was fined $5,000 for a hit on Vince Young.

On the play, the referee was standing right next to the incident and did not say a word, reach for his flag, or anything.  This is a “Protect the quarterbacks […]

Steelers Catch a Small Break in Tampa

The Steelers received a small but significant break today when Tampa’s starting free safety Tanard Jackson was suspended for the season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.  The severity of the punishment is due to this being Jackson’s second offense.  During the suspension for his first offense last season, the Bucs had the 31st ranked defense […]

Batch Named Starter for Sunday

The Steelers named Charlie Batch the starter for Sunday’s game against the Bucs.  This will be his first start since 2007.

Batch held the team together last week but did not do anything special.  If you look back through the game though, he did throw 2 touchdowns.  One pass was dropped by Hines Ward while […]
